I think you'll agree that today's letter is far prettier than last week's submission. That had to be the strangest array of items I have ever seen.
The bricktionary apologizes heavily.
This week, we are going to explore some fables. No elk horn buckles here!
For those of you who don't know, a fable is a short story that imparts a lesson on the reader. The great thing about this list today is if you are unfamiliar with the fable being shown, the seller usually has the story on their page.
I really dig this necklace. It is well made, and that little antique button is really cute!
I have never heard this fable before, but I like the imagery of little cashews running on their little legs back to the cashew tree and hanging on for dear life. This print is so detailed.
You can definitely see this fox declaring these unobtainable grapes as "Sour Grapes".
So, this watercolor might be out of your price range at $500, but there was no way I could overlook it. I am a huge peacock, bunny, and frog lover, so it called to me. This would be so pretty in a kid's room.
Probably the most popular fable out there, this necklace caught my eye. Would you believe that that is a picture of a tortoise shell and not the real thing?
Is it just me, or does this perfect papercut look a bit gothic?
Here's a print version of the same fable. I really love how the seller incorporated the story into the art.
I saved my favorite for last. This artist does such an amazing job of giving her subjects rich character. That look like a very happy fox.
Today's grouping really made me want to read up on all the old fables. It also made me realize that most people on Etsy don't know the difference between a fable and a fairy tale.
I'm just gonna shake my head, and get to finishing my studio.
